Viofo A329S Review

It is too expensive? What do you specifically not like?

Thats why there is competition if you do not like a brand find something that works for you.
and I have the freedom to comment what i think my friend. just make fw a229 pro quality license plate same as 329 is fine . i dont have such demand for 329/329s ssd storage and other things. i am contemplating on getting new dashcam replacing current viofo.

Well; the A229 Pro will be about 2 years old this September so I suspect we will not see any FW improvements unless it involves something that may be a legal necessity in a country, or a horrid bug is discovered. Every day I have to decide if I want to use the telephoto or the interior camera, as it has now gotten hot enough that the A229 Pro sort of balks at 3 channels. I am not hopeful to be honest about any improvements for the A229 Pro.

Maybe thats the strategy for products line-up. If you want better quality viofo cant do much with the fw, you just have to update to 329 / 329s. Tks for reply

Sneak peek at new fisheye lens….
FYI this is a screenshot from my phone
Thanks for sharing. It's a nice wide view without looking too distorted. Compares well to the E360 cabin camera view. It's not going to please everyone, but that's why there's options in the remote camera lineup.

I am not sure I like the fisheye lens, but honestly, I don't care for fisheye lenses on 35mm cameras either. The fisheye lens is not enough of an issue though to be honest, how many times do we actually look at interior footage? I am more concerned about front and rear image quality, and of course heat mitigation. As you say, there are plenty of dash cam options available.

The interior camera CAN be valuable in parking mode or for door dings.
Or when something happens next to you.
The additional camera does have it's advantages.

The front and rear and telephoto will however be more important.

I know many users who, like me, have a separate model installed on the rear window of their car.
For them, the front, interior and telephoto cameras will be a priority.

Don't want to crash the thread, but if you ask viofo they may have a 1080p rear camera IMX662 that can be plugged in the interieur port soon again. I think currently it's out of stock. But there was a small batch produced.

But I'm sure the A329T that will be out there will be the better option because of better resolution.
Before buying additional camera moduls and need to sell old ones it's maybe better to sell everything and switch to the new model. I think there will be some reviews here soon about the A329T as well.

I'm curious about the first sample footage of the interieur-cam of the A329S.
Might be very interesting to also compare the different approaches between Vantrue E360, 70Mai Omni and A329S because there are 3 kind of completely 360°-approaches on the market then.
But I'm not sure if I have time to do so. Have laying the Vantrue und 70Mai-samples only with short testing now for weeks/month here. I always have too little time for all the testing.

The A329S and A329T are the same camera.
The S has the interior camera included in the pack, the T has the telescopic camera included instead, and the SW has rear waterproof camera instead.

They're all the same base unit - which is why they didn't change the A329 on the unit writing alright the ports changed slightly from the previous model.

There will be more coming on all 3 variants.

A lot more has changed internally..

Yes - I meant the 3 new variants have the same base unit between them (different to the previous A329). They're all just separate camera additions that determine the S, T and SW naming, which is why they kept the A329 on the main unit rather than changing the writing on it to A329S, A329T etc.

Of course the main unit has different redesign internally - different ports, different chip layout etc.
