VIOFO A329S - Testing/Review - RCG

I've started my testing of the A329S dash camera. I'll have more info posted over the next several weeks as the data embargo on this product is lifted.

It's a pre-production unit. I did not get a waterproof rear camera. Can't say much publicly at this point.

One of the conditions for me getting the A329S [A329T in my case], is that I cannot publicly discuss any of the non-public details of the product. The only visible difference in the A329S/A329T front camera case [as shown in the front camera picture on the box sleeve] is that the HDMI port that is present in the A329 has been replaced by a coaxial camera connection port for the interior/telephoto camera [depending on which version you purchase].

The differences are mainly in the firmware, thus invisible when looking at an image of the case.
Firmware is very important, without it, most features present in the hardware are not visible!

Yep, noticed that also, on the dash cam body, no 'S' to define it is different from the previous model. Probably should have gone with something like "A339" or similar and offer bundles for the various camera attachments.

Just buy the A329T version which is with a telephoto camera and this is the best feature in any dashcam to capture a license plate. Right now it is nothing better for car license plates legibility than the Viofo telephoto camera.

What if @Vueroid S1 4K 3CH also supports optional 2K telephoto camera?
I think that would make @KR_OGU very happy, (also me).
