At the moment Viofo, Vueroid and Vantrue
Viofo developed the "Constant Power Cable OP100" for connecting its models to the OBD2 port of cars.
The plug itself has a switch with three operating time settings: 3 hours, 24 hours, and constant.
I think the timer should be set when parking the car, as models enter parking mode when there's no movement in the lens, not when the ignition is turned off.
My A329TC works correctly with the OBD2 cable.
The plug is connected with a cable approximately 30cm long to a converter with an input voltage of 12V - 24V and a USB-A output of 5V 3A,
USB-C output of 5V 3A, 9V 2A, and 12V 1.5A.
The lower voltage threshold for the OBD2 cable is 11.8V/23.6V.

Can you use any "aftermarket" USB Cable, or do you have to use the included "special" Viofo Brand cable?
When is the official release date?
MSRP?

You can use any USB cable, but the dash cam will remain on continuously and will not enter parking mode.
For parking mode to work, you must use a Viofo cable.

When is the official release date?
MSRP?
It's best to ask these questions directly to the manufacturer.
Only they know the release date and price.

I wonder why Viofo decided to put an on/off switch on the voltage converter? They have not done this on any of the HK models.

I expect for most users the voltage converter box will not be in a convenient location to switch on/off the power supply to the dashcam.

I see USB-A and USB-C connectors on the 5V side of the voltage converter. It would have been nice to see the same 4-pin socket that is used on the HK6 and BP100.

Is your OP100 a Pre-Production Unit, or a fully finished retail version same as sold to customers?

I haven't tested it yet, but I think it's possible.
If you use a data cable, there shouldn't be any problems.
When Crystal sent me OP100 on 8/1/25 she said it only works with the included Viofo USB Power Cable in the photo.
Maybe they made a new version that works with "aftermarket" USB Cables.

In my car the ODB-ll is visible.

The 3.5 metre cable for the mini USB has an ID pin and two wires for power.

Tested with the Viofo A119 V3 worked but this is in a Trial phase.

For testing purposes I have placed the unit here.

I was not informed about this.

I tested the OP100 with the 3.5m cable you see in the photos, and the A329TC enters parking mode if there's no movement in the lens.
When using a USB cable for data transfer, the dash cam operates continuously and does not enter parking mode.

Is Manual V25.06.23 the newest version?
Do we have official permission to start posting about OP100?
I didn't get an email yet.
If this is a date code, my unit is 3.5 months older than yours.

I contacted the manufacturer's support team, following Viofo's advice in one of their posts, asking them to send me an OP100.
You can see what they sent me in the photos.
There was no restriction on publishing the photos or the manual.

I tested the dash cam's operation when connected via a USB data cable. It runs continuously and doesn't enter parking mode.
Conclusion:
For proper operation of Viofo models via the OP100, you must use a Viofo cable.

Do you mean the "special" included cable with OP100?
Or do you mean the power cable included with every Viofo dash cam?

So far, I've only tested the one they sent me with the OP100. It's possible it has more than two wires inside,
because it exits parking mode when the engine starts. I wonder why it doesn't happen when the ignition is turned on...
I can't speak for the cable that came with the kit. I haven't tried connecting it yet.

It's possible it has more than two wires inside,
I with they made a simple USB Type-C tester that would tell you which pins are connected by wires inside.
