A quick question: Is the G900 Tripro Firmware V1.6.3_251103 removed for some reason? It doesn’t seem to be available on the website anymore...

I posted about this the other day here: https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/threa...iew-mirror-dashcam-solution.53305/post-659351

I believe the update has been pulled because of multiple users reporting online that the update has bricked their dashcams.
As someone who has had power fluctuations during updates, I can assure you there is no way way to brick the Tripro. Yes my unit looked bricked but it wasn't. There is a reset button you press while powering the unit with some install files you get sent to you from Wolfbox for SD card restart. 100 percent of time, results in recovery. No way to brick this unit unless it was defective from start.

That's recovery files, so yes it is possible to corrupt it. The fact they are having to send people files says it all.

The install process should be streamlined like it is with other brands, or just make it OTA

I didn't need install files to restore unit. I just did that to upgrade the firmware while I was resetting unit. I have brought people units back simply by using the reset switch. I have the experience with these units. Only thing not solid is water resistance of rear camera (board easily corrodes) so I built a waterproof 3d housing with a anti glare filter. No issues with this installed on bumper and rear camera. Light sensitivity is better at night

Hold on, are you referring to this post Wolfbox made today on Facebook? Because it's the first time I've seen them or any of their reps make reference to using the reset switch to unbrick units.

Happy to be proven wrong, but the timing seems a little suss.

What are you smoking? I have had three of these units since they were introduced, the g850 pro before that. All one need to do is contact Wolfbox support and they tell you how to fix things. I have had their support from the beginning. I did my first reset over a year ago. I did another for my friends who had an issue similar to mine. I have never had to return my unit only needed rear camera replacement. I have been honest. No other dashcam company has shown such help to me. No reason for you to suspect, just contact them if you have an issue. Ask for Mark. He is the best and helped me a multitude of times. I am very happy with my Tripro on my three vehicles.

I can see that from your post history here on the forums. Seems rather skewed towards Wolfbox-positive bias.

Thank you for your feedback.
