flashing red means not enough power delivering to the unit. possibly there is a bad contact between the dock station and the DVR itself. have you tried to connect microusb cable directly to the mini itself? another option is to try with different power supply.

Laws in our country prohibits to place display or "any device that has display" in the front part of the car. So I'm looking for DVR that has no display and in the same time has good specs(1080p 30fps, good quality, GPS(pref. 5Hz). who can suggest a good choice for price under $100?

yes, software bugs like this are annoying. also, there is no GPS time synchronization.

GS9000 has very low reliability, you should know how to use soldering-iron if you want to make it work as it should. also Ambarella A2S chipset is very old and doesn't support new technologies, like WDR or HDR. night performance will be so so. so, as you see, I would recommend you buying LS430W...
