It is approaching time to replace my 5 year old 9663DC... ...is the wiring harness the same? Can I just swap the two?

Originally I had this installed in my Dodge Ram...I jammed a 2 inch wide piece of sheet metal up under the headliner and glued the camera to that...otherwise I couldn't install it. BTW, I did not have any vibration issues.

I used the 6.5M cable using the low route (longer but easier routing) on my C-class...it was pretty much the exact fit...if the run was any longer, it would be too short...so if your car is bigger than a C-class...take the upper route.

-I flashed the new firmware, but didn't realize the EV setting option. -no complaint about the wifi...just fyi -Makes sense about the fishing the usb cable through things...does anybody make a right angle mini usb adapter...the correct direction?

Been using it for a few weeks. Mounted in diesel 4x4 extended cab pickup. Front cam is fantastic! GPS locks in fast...it all just works like you would expect it to. The rear camera isn't quite as good...but in my case it doesn't help that it has to look through tint. Lights are...

BTW, Dashcam Viewer only has PiP for MAC...not Windows.

Got it installed, front is fantastic, rear is really good. Short cable in set has two right angled USB plugs...won't fit with GPS. Long one has straight and right angle USB...but in all cases USB is right angled the wrong way...should be left (up) instead is right (down)...so more cable to...

I stand corrected, the first time I tried NovaCam I didn't get anything...this time it worked quite well...however I have no idea what the settings button was showing me :)

So what app lets you view video (live or perhaps recorded) using the wifi...I tried the ones listed with no success.

Is there a specific technical reason the windows version can't do the picture-in-picture mode?

Do any of these have a remote button to command the 'save clip' function...or do you have to have physical access to recording unit.

I have a hard time believing that is dash cam video because it is amazing...I hope the production unit looks as good!

Yea, I have a reasonable machine, can easily edit 1080p video...4k really chokes it...I usually crop the 4k or resize it before I edit it. (4k timelapse through DSLR or GoPro). So 1080 is just fine...but if you want auto stabilizers or digital zoom, you need to start with 4k and crop from...
