How do you reduce the dashboard glare?

Would you recommend removing this tint if you purchase a car that has it installed?

F50 chipset, auto shutoff, & parking mode

I've read F50 is one of the lowest power usage 1080p dash cams and it has features like thermal and low voltage cutoff. 1) Do anyone know what chipset it uses or how it uses such a small amount of power? 2) Thermal and low voltage cutoff built-in. how is it able to do this for so cheap when...

Hawkeye Firefly 8S 4k (Coming soon!)

I wouldn't count on increased support in the future. The features and bugs it has at release it will probably have its entire life. Lots of Q6 owners on RCGroups found this out the hard way. Still, impressive specs for the price. I also very much like some of the extra features, especially that...

Free CAD / 3d modeling lessons?

if anyone is curious, I have been using TinkerCAD which is browser-based and free for non-commercial use. its tutorial is straightforward and more or less seems to translate into other 3d CAD programs. I don't know how well this will translate into 3d printing things, but I guess we'll see :)

    Safety operations mode

swipe down and click the lock to lock the screen. you can also go to settings -> advanced -> screen auto lock and have it automatically do this after 30 seconds of no input. this is easily avoided by enabling your phone's screen lock every time you put it in your pocket. this also prevents...

    Good Actioncam for Trailrunning

For just a few dollars more you can get Yi 4k which is loads better than sjcam or git. Or wait a bit and get Foxeer Cube which will offer similar performance to Yi 4k in a much smaller package.

    Best camera for bicycles?

I think you did good with the Mobius and helmet mount. These cameras don't do too well with vibrations, which a stem mount or handlebar mount would have a lot more of. The Mobius has very good battery life as well. Depending on how long your rides are, you may not even need the external battery...

    4k medium or narrow possible?

Got it. My old Hero 3 could do 1080p30 in wide OR narrow, but it had an 8 or 12 MP sensor (much larger than 1080p). So for the Yi to do narrow in 4k, it would have to have a 16MP or larger sensor. I knew about the quality differences, I was just wondering what the bottleneck was.

YI 360 VR new Camera (dual 220 degree lenses)

I think VR is more of a fad than anything, but what is interesting about this is that you no longer have to worry about framing the shot. You just crop out what you don't need.

    4k medium or narrow possible?

is 4k medium or narrow possible with any of the firmware hacks / mods? or is it just too much for the processor to handle? at the very least, seems like the 4k+ should be able to handle it. maybe at 30 fps?
