There are people that "extended" the rear LED by using an optical fiber, for example from an audio cable. Anyway, my cameras never turned off because of heat, so maybe you have other problems, especially if both stoped at the same time.

With Registrator Viewer you don't need to find any matching point, you just select the begining and end of the recording you want to save, it doesn't matter if it's one Mobius clip or more consecutive clips.

Registrator Viewer has an option to set the overlap time between clips (1050 ms works for Mobius files). This applies to playback, as well as to export the selected segment.
