Gibson99, yeah that is true. I believe that the absolute physical limits of a action cam, with similar layout to a gopro are "two decks of playing cards", that is
about the limit you can hold with comfort in one hand. That will then give you lots of room, where one of the deck, could be the battery. Provide you with
plenty of power. A bit like the size of the "Xiaomi Yi 4K Action Camera 2" but they could make it a bit larger still, but you get what I am thinking of.

Yes, Gitup could add a lot more shutter speed options.

I think the only reason they don't is that if there were 30 different options then it would take a long time to select the correct one, and because there is no "back" button on the Git2, if you go 1 option too far then you would have to go through another 29 to get back to where you want to be. There are already enough options to make it a big menu.

In your image, we can see that it has used ISO 50 for every photo. ISO 50 should give the best quality so why would you want to manually set it to something different? If there is no reason then it is more important to keep the menu reasonably short so that it is easy to use.

The only time you want to use big ISO values is when there is not enough light for ISO 50, and then you will always want to use slow shutter speeds to keep the ISO value low for good quality, so there is no need to have the very fast shutter speeds in the menu. The reason to use a manual ISO value is normally to force the camera to use a low ISO in dark conditions to get better quality, but you also need to put the camera on a tripod to avoid the motion blur that using low ISO in the dark will cause. Sometimes you might want to force a higher ISO to get a faster shutter speed if you know something is moving fast and you don't mind loosing some quality to reduce the motion blur, but you will want fairly low shutter speeds for that situation.
If I think it is very necessary that the GIT2 can have speeds faster shutter of 1 / 240seg which is the maximum and I'll explain why.
This cam has a problem because in shady areas or not enough light gets a lot of noise in the image and even when the day is sunny, if you look for ejempolo in the sky it leaves grain, therefore it is necessary set the ISO 50 value in order to force the image is as sharp and clean as possible. But with the current values is impossible to set you iso 50 as the image comes out overexposed, burnt, ie, if you observe to adjust the iso to 50 and the shutter speed to 1 / 240seg out burnt, if you set the speed values lower is much worse, ie burned out even more. So this cam is missing offset or compensate through a good fit speed higher obturation so you can work with iso 50 outdoors. Only at speed 1 / 240seg you can use the iso 50 if you are in the shade or in an area where there is plenty of light.

Need the option to prevent the auto setting the shutter speed lower than the frame rate.
For example, frame rate 1080 60 fps, so the minimal shutter speed for this option is 1\60 sec, not longer.
Because now the 60 fps and 1\30 sec shutter looks like 30 fps with a lot of motion blur. And the 720\120 fps in forest looks like slideshow because camera set the shutter is lower than 1\120 sec. For some situations it is good, but for some extreme shots it is not good.
With enabled override option the minimal shutter speed for 720\120 fps must be not longer than 1\120 sec, for 60p not longer than 1\60, for 30p not longer than 1\30. To prevent slideshow and motion blur on long shutter.

The problem is that if you do that, your videos will be completely black. The sensor needs this minimum amount of time to collect light.
I think it would be an additional option for current video settings (i.e. in shutter settings - auto, auto+fps limit). Git2 have very good sensor. I've tried to set shutter speed for 1\120 sec in dark forest and image was not underexposed (good aperture of lens + iso can correct exposition).

playing with shutter speed in VIDEO mode is not really a option . It should be fix . You need a NEUTRAL DENSITY filter if you have to much ligth. Yes with a higer shutter speed you will get less ligth to the sensor but also it will change the look of the video and it will make it look more like a stroboscopic video and you only whant that for special effect! THE rules in VIDEO mode is double the frame rate for a normal video look . Some goes with the same as frame rate for more dramatic look. THERE is no triangle exposure in VIDEO mode , only in PICTURE mode. ALL of you that try to set the exposure with the shutter speed are doing it wrong . WITH a action cam , the best way without loosing picture quality is with the ISO setting or adding a ND FILTER. Even if the aperture was adjustable , the image will loose or gain deep of field but will be less a probleme because the sensor is small in the cam
