30 second recordings

Hello, i was looking for a particular moment on my dash cam (nextbase 312gw) so i went looking through it and it has only recorded 30 second clips most of the time with the occasional 5 minute one its supposed to, whats wrong?

What capacity is the SD card? How often do you format your card?

What setting is parking mode set to? Parking mode records those 30 second clips if there is a bump detected, it’s supposed to be off with normal driving as it can interfere.

How long ago did the event occur that you’re looking for?

It’s a lexar 32gb (one I heard on a dash cam forum was good) i dont format as much as I should, I formatted it last week to so but they could’ve been after the incident. Anyway I’ve formatted it now and I’ve turned parking mode off, it recorded my whole half hour journey to work so I’ll keep an eye on it thanks

Great providing its a class 10 you shouldn't have a problem.

It does sound like it become full (or mostly full) of protected files, those 30 second ones.
