380GWX, any good ?

I test drove a newish toyota recently and it had one of these in it with the rear camera also. Are they any good ? I do know that they are not the best in the Nextabse range.

Toyota have been offering these as add ons for years now, so I'm assuming they are "acceptable" but obviously will not be as good as my current 2 channel 622GW.

I had a very early 380 and it was dreadful

The design was good but the image quality with no CPL possible was useless

It was the design that pushed me to move away from Nextbase toward the Viofo A119V3 which has been 100% reliable and the footage is pin sharp in comparison

Hi, it is very fiddly a pain to use and more often than not the rolling video folder at DCIM/VIDEO is empty .... even when using the very expensive SD cards from Nextbase

So in short, it is not doing the one job it was designed to do properly.

The onboard WIFI more often than not will just not connect to the app. It is probably the most annoying piece of hardware I have to deal with, ever. Look elsewhere.

Avoid - poor image quality, especially in low light. Huge self aggrandising watermark you cannot remove. Fiddly to setup, poor software support. 1/10
