380GWX - blue battery light goes off - battery fitted - possible faulty battery

Hi all, we have the 380gwx - hardwired - not a ciggy power link - we start the car - the BLUE light comes on, sometimes it stays solid, sometimes after 5mins while driving the BLUE light goes off altogther, and we still have 1hr driving to do before the car & power is turned off.

To sum up - start the car - the blue light may or may not come on, the drive is over 1hr long - but within 5mins - the BLUE light can & will turn turn off.

Any views on this ? cheers andy

Forgot to say - a multimeter is showing the battery to be 4.12v

The main enemy of dashcams is starting the vehicle. They often get power to boot then firing the starter briefly cuts the power and it goes into shutdown mode.

Try bringing it indoors and plug into a mobile phone USB charger and see what happens to rule in/out vehicle wiring.

Blue led issue on hold, as it's only battery etc, system has another fault now to test ...
