I have now been using the T800 Premium Set for around two months, and I think it is fair to say it has earned the “best allrounder” tag in my setup. It is not flawless, but the overall package feels very complete.

Important upfront note: Because of German privacy regulations, I can’t post full driving videos with license plates and faces visible. Instead, I added photos and screenshots to give a fair impression of what the T800 is capable of.

Setup & Hardware

The Premium Set comes with the front unit (Sony Starvis 2 IMX678 sensor), the IR interior cam, and the rear cam. Both front and rear can record in 4K at the same time, which is not common in this segment yet. The CPL filter is an optional extra that is worth buying. Another nice extra is the 4G module, which I will get to later.

The unit itself feels well built. Buttons are minimal, most things are done through the app, which might not be everyone’s preference, but keeps the main body clean. Cable length is more than enough for average-sized vehicles.
The power button on the left side of the unit will also lock videos with a double press. The ring around the button will glow to show the status of the camera.

Image Quality

Day: The daytime footage is very sharp, with lots of detail, and the colors are on the more vibrant side rather than dull. With the CPL filter mounted, reflections are reduced, and license plates are usually readable even at a distance.

Night: HDR does its job, making plate capture of oncoming traffic possible for most cars.

Rear 4k is also very solid.

Plates: During the day, it is almost no effort, at night, HDR makes it quite reliable.

The T800 delivers very good image quality from either channel.

4G Features

Now, to one of my favorite features, the Cloud features. Once you insert a SIM card, the camera stays connected and can send notifications to the app whenever something happens. Remote live view works without major delay, cloud backup is smooth, and parking alerts come through consistently. This turns the dashcam into more of a security tool, not just a recording device. I found myself checking the car remotely more often than I thought I would. Even when traveling to another country, it still worked without issues.

Parking Mode

Parking events are not buffered! Recording begins about one to two seconds after the impact or trigger, so you do not get pre-event frames in parking mode. While driving, you do get a buffered emergency file with at least 10 seconds before and 30 seconds after an impact, but that buffer does not apply to parked triggers. The camera does have suspicious person alerts, once a person stays for a certain time in the frame.

Audio & Extras
The microphone captures voices clearly, even with road noise or music in the background. It’s not a studio mic, but definitely better than previous models.

Pros

  • Dual 4K front and rear with a good image
  • Night vision with HDR is genuinely useful
  • 4G module adds value (remote notifications, cloud, live view)
  • CPL filter makes a big difference in daytime footage
  • App is simple and stable in daily use
  • Premium Set bundles everything you need for a proper 3-channel setup
  • Good Audio quality
  • Very fast video download with WiFi 6
  • Heat-resistant even in nearly 40°C weather
  • Very stable app

Cons

  • Interior camera can only be tilted up/down. Limits mounting positions
  • No pre-buffer in parking mode
  • Rear camera cable is on the thicker side
  • CPL is optional
  • Cut off voltage can not be disabled

Conclusion

After two months of daily driving with the T800 Premium Set, I can say it is one of the best all-rounders I’ve tried so far. It has a solid balance between image quality, reliable hardware, and extra features like 4G that actually work in practice. For the price, the performance, and feature set, I put it right in my top 3 picks.

The T800 will also have ADAS features.
If they are useful is up to the user.
They do allow some fun features. Once the ADAS is enabled, an overlay can be activated to show the distance to other cars.

The T800 will also show the lane on the display:

Thanks for the review

Is there a reason why the front usb c cable is angled and not the rear? What is the reasoning for that orientation with the power connector is straight. I feel as if the rear should be angled with the front being straight

The angled connector will allow you to place it closer to the headliner. With a straight plug it will require more space. Since the cables go to the passenger side anyways, this is no issue in most cars.

You can still swap the end around according to 70mai. I have not tested to mount the cable the other way.

I largely agree.
In my car i can easy go as far up the dotted / share area installing a camera that if it slide up to get off the mount i can not do it,,,,, that have happened a few times with me being too eager to "throw" in a new system.

Very small wedges / not tall wedge systems will however show dotted area in the footage before i get up too high on the glass, but taller or if you like longer systems sill not have that install " alarm " feature.

I like cheating with my headlights i have finally been able to capture oncoming plates at night with the T800, but i dont think i can drive with high beams on all the time, even if it seem like i can angle them down enough for oncoming cars to not get mad and flash their high beams at me.
I wish there was some cheater bulbs i could put in, but any kind of aftermarket bulbs are illegal in Denmark. so H4 55W it is for me,,,,,, and those still fry / crack the headlight " glass " so on my #3 pair of headlights now.
