70Mai A810 Continuous Recording?

I have just installed a 70Mai A810 using the 70Mai UP03 Hard Wire kit.

However, despite setting "Auto-off when no movement persists" to 20 minutes the dashcam seems to ignore this setting and continues recording!

Is this continuous recording normal for this dashcam? Or have I not set it up correctly? Or is the product defective?

Operator error kicks in! On checking it seems that I was getting permanent live feed to ACC! There are two positions for this fuse on the VW Golf! Upper position gives permanent live to cigarette lighter and electrical sockets and lower position to have these power outlets (ACC) as switched live! Needless to say I had the fuse in the upper (wrong) position!
