70mai Dash Cam Battery Pack - Test & Review PP

Missed the boat on this, was interested in purchasing the 70mai battery after reading through this thread and viewing Vortex Radar's YT video

Any chance the discount codes will return? Or should I hold off until BF?

Hello, and welcome to the club.
I'm not really a fan of the 70mai battery pack anymore, now that we have the Viofo BP100 with an impending release date.
It has a lot of features the 70mai doesn't.
Of course the price will be slightly higher, but they I think they are well worth it.
Smartphone APP, and expansion capability just to name two.
There is no official release date for the BP100.
But if you go to my secret YouTube channel you can see some videos about it.

Thank you for being straight about your opinion and not beating around the bush.
Is the PC8 your second choice considering the BP100 is not released?

My biggest problem with the PC8 is warranty service is via Canada which makes warranty work that much more complicated.
I realize this is a LiFePO battery but try to explain that during shipment....

Shipping a battery to Canada
can be complicated, as regulations vary by battery type, with lithium batteries posing the most significant challenges due to strict safety requirements under the Canadian Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Regulations. You must ensure compliance with packaging, labeling, documentation, and potentially UN 38.3 testing requirements to avoid delays or refusal of shipment. For other battery types like common dry cells, while less regulated, ensuring the terminals are protected is still essential to prevent short-circuiting and fire hazards.
Why It's "Hard"
The process is complex because of the potential fire hazards associated with batteries, particularly lithium-ion and lithium-metal types. These risks have led to stringent international and national regulations to ensure public safety and prevent serious incidents during transit.

Do you know if the BP100 will have to be warrantied by shipment back to China?

The PC8 has been my "benchmark gold standard" that I use to compare all battery packs with.
I like it as long as it's installed with a relay, (not connected directly to fuse box).

Better to ask Viofo directly here; SUBMIT A TICKET

Last month I noticed the warranty policy on the Official Viofo website was updated with a "local" US address in Colorado to process warranty claims.
I just checked, and it's not there anymore.
Maybe they still have it, but just don't post the address publicly anymore.

Hello,
Because I read in many online e-shops the Shipping Policy that ''due to the battery pack's pure electric properties, delivery channels are restricted. For the time being, it can only be delivered to some countries like Denmark, Estonia, France, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Czechia'',
From where online e-shop can I buy and it sent to Greece to me, a 70mai Battery Pack for Dash Cam ?

Thank You!

I have an iroad battery pack pro 12 incoming. Does anyone know if the 70mai accessories like the cigarette adaptor of the 70mai will work on the iroad? It seems easy enough to make one but just checking.

I do not have an IROAD Powerpack Pro 12 to confirm & verify.
It looks like they both use the same MR30 connector, but I’m not sure polarity of pins are same.

Option #2
Contact thedashcamstore.com and see if they can sell you an additional F-INPUT Cable.
Also order CLA Male Plug, and connect the two;

I should have stated they are MR30 connectors but they are pinned differently.

Mainly because of the larger capacity and my driving and parking habits. Lte on the blackvue seems to eat up a bit more power vs other dashcams. Ill look into the iroad15. It was not in stock at the time but sure is now.

I would get the 15 over the 12.
It's got;
2nd Gen BMS
39Wh more capacity
It looks like the brought back the USB-A output, but not sure by the photos.
All for only $50 more.

@Chuck McCoy
The f-input and the c-input are different ( male vs female) so I dont think ordering another f input cable will work since I need to use the c inpi-ut port which is different.

We have videos showcasing the full pinout of iroad and how to make your own home charger

I managed to get it setup but when being charged via the ciagrette adaptor its extremly slow. Plugged it in as a test to the 12v port on my ecoflow and anker powerstatations and both show the iroad is charging at around 50watts. The 70mai charges close to 100w. Not sure if this iroad is defective.
