888888 displayed left of the date stamp

I'm a little puzzled. I own one of these dash cams and just installed another in a friends car because they liked mine so much. On their cam it says 888888 to the left of the date stamp and it doesn't on mine. Any thoughts?

Nevermind durr use the search function dummy... Found what it might be. The car number thingy

8 is a lucky number in China. Sounds like the default On Screen Stamp is set to 888888. You can change this to be a license plate number or turn it off all together. Press menu once, press a 2nd time to get to the next layer.
