A129 Pro firmware

Manually default the cameras settings through the menu, then press and hold the hard reset button on the side of the camera for about 5 seconds.

Yes, it has happened to me a number times in the last few days and wondered why. I will now try Captureyouraction advice. See if that works.

If it’s also happening to you I think I’ll just reflash the 2.5 firmware because that had been working great for me.

I’ll give it a few days to see if it happens again if so, then I’ll go to 2.5 firmware
 
The 2.10T FW has worked well for me. No resets or restarts, image quality seems to be about the same to me.
 
My A129 Pro Duo is running ‘V2.9_20221215’ firmware, and I notice from the last few posts here that some are using ‘V2.9_20230926’, however when I check the Viofo support pages on the website neither the A129 Pro Duo or the firmware V2.9_20230926 exists. Has this firmware been pulled for any reason?

It has not been pulled...

Some days ago the available firmware at the Viofo support page was V2.9_20230926

But just now there is a new firmware V2.91_20240913

Check the firmware web page and select A129 Pro duo.

I have been using the 2-10T FW without any issues for some time, but just for kicks, I will flash the FW and see what happens. 🙂
 
I flashed the V2.91_20240913 firmware yesterday and so for, so good. No issues found. Flash was good, image quality is good, Event based parking mode is working as it should. Just be certain to do the Reset after the flash.

MicroSDXC is a San Disk Max Endurance 256GB formatted as W95 FAT32 (LBA), MBR/MS-DOS partition. I simply put the FW in the root directory and then began the flash.

The latest, official firmware is the V2.91_20240913 and is the one that folks should be using. VIOFO at times will publish a link to a test firmware so see if it resolves a complaint that one of the members here may have. That v2.10T is one such FW. I do not remember for what feature it was originally published for but It worked well for me for months, and I kept using it. I mentioned it previously as a possible option if someone was having an issue with one of the other FW.

Publishing FW as VIOFO sometimes does can add some confusion further down the road and really, I should not have mentioned it as I doubt it is still available from VIOFO. If you have a specific issue with the latest FW then ask VIOFO support for some assistance and see what can be done.

I have been using the V2.91_20240913 for some months now and would say to stay with it as it seems to be very stable.
