I have used my G1W for around 6 years now. Yes, there were a few problems like the screen would not turn off. So I just added a cover for that. The save file function gave up too. Given that theses cams were not favourably regarded I feel that this was sterling service.
However, last month it started to loosing all settings and over exposing. I cracked it open to see if I could perhaps replace the battery. But the wires came adrift and that was the end of that.
I recently read a magazine article which was about "repurposing" old tech. One idea was for an old mobile to be used as a DVR dash cam.
The problem, for me, is that there are many apps in the play store.
I have foolishly tried ploughing through the reviews, but I am loosing my will to live! so the question is:
Has anyone got any advice as to which one is OK?
