Another Update ANOTHER FAILURE!

Yet again Blackvue push an update which makes everything worse! :mad:

WTF can't they leave things alone?

Since todays update it won't recognise the internet connection, without lots of messing around!

Tapping "Go back to app" returns you to.... this same screen!!!!

Strong internet / wi-fi / data signals yet this pathetic app ****ed up again.

This truely is the most abysmal apology for a mobile application ever produced!
 
BlackVue UK blamed this error on being connected to the cars wi-fi at the time. Obvioulsy wrong!

Seems others at Blackvue spotted their mistake as todays update as eliminated the problem screen.

Shame they don't test things *before* they push updates!
 
do you use the cloud feature? is your dashcam connected to a wifi network from your home?
I had trouble with my DR900s 2ch sets when my wifi network was paired 2.4ghz and 5ghz band in bandsteering mode as one wifi SSID the blackvue cams cannot process this kind of wifi network without getting stuck in a loop.
im not aware if blackvue ever fixed this issue in future models.
I had to set them as 2 seperate networks one for 2.4ghz and another ssid for 5ghz otherwise the cams would get stuck in a auto connection loop and i wasnt able to connect to the cams directly as their SSID would never appear.
 
I do use cloud & the cam can connect to home wi-fi, but that wasn't an issue here.
As you see, Blackvue pushed another update the following day which fixed it, for me at least.

The problem is still with us.

Obviously this app needs yet more attention.

In fact, it needs to be scrapped completely and a totally new app created by someone who actually knows what they're doing. Clearly BlackVue haven't a clue.

I can't begin to describe the hoops I need to jump through to connect my iPad. The timing needs to be perfect. On my iPad disconnect from home WiFi -> connect to Camera WiFi -> start BlackVue app -> log as quest..... If the WiFi connection is still valid.. nothing happens until you press continue. And this is where the timing seems critical, if you didn't get it right the App goes into a continuous loop where you have no option to do anything but quit. Back out of everything.. and start over. Sheesh
 
Along a similar vein, the app can't tell the difference between movement detection & impact detection.

It notifies impact even when that notification is turned off, & it really detected movement.

This app is an absolute mess!

Edit: Re the OP. Bv say "There will be an update in the app. However, we do not have information yet when this will be released."
Let's hope they rectify all the other issues too, though that's probably too much to ask :(
