Beer loose on the road, now with flaming beer barrels, captured with Mini 0806

i have crawled more meters as a baby than i have driven in cars with automatic gear, my friends Dodge ram charger is the first AUT car i have driven in 20 years.

I would dare to say at least 9 out of 10 Danish cars are stick shift, the main reason here for that might be that a car with AUT tranny is more expensive due to,,,,,,,,, you guessed it taxes.
A aditional prize in the range of 30.000-60.000 DKkr is not uncommon for a car with automatic tranny :(

taxes don't really differ between auto or manual, or even engine size (except for the "gas guzzler" tax for things like the hummer or other things with like 10 mpg ratings) in the US. the real difference is just the purchase price of the car, and supply/demand - it's exceedingly rare to find a stickshift car for sale at any US dealership, no matter what brand the vehicle is, and many models can't even be custom-ordered with a manual. about the only place you'll still find stickshift is in sports/sporty cars like the mazda mx5, subaru wrx/sti, chevy corvette, ford mustang, etc. and even in those cars you'll still find plenty of automatics for only a couple hundred dollars more than the stickshift version - peanuts when the whole car costs 20-50,000 (or higher for some models of corvette). at least the automatic vette and miata have "paddle" shifter buttons on the steering wheel to make it a manu-matic.

it's sad, too, as i bet having a manual would make more drivers actually pay attention to their driving. i'd like to think i'm a better driver because of driving a manual. i only hate it when i'm stuck in stop & go traffic, and my left thigh starts to cramp up.

Thats about the clearest sharpest footage i ve seen and no mention of faults like the new panorama and its is it recording or frozen !

you got a night time example for us yet ?
So to video beer barrels in the dark you have to set fire to them, right? :D

Here you go, I've put some other stuff before the beer barrels to show what the Mini 0806 is capable of in the dark:

I was using 21:9 mode with spot exposure metering for most of it, all hand held.

I was impressed with the sound on the noisy bit, the 0803 would have given up on that!

And some non-YouTubed frame grabs:
