@BASSstarlet no doubt your issue is a optical issue ( lens or socket lens in mounted to )
If the focus slide and stay there you can actually adjust it back, but that is not a easy thing to do, also not super hard either, but really if you are not that brave and have warranty you should use that.
In rare cases a lens element can come loose inside the lens and will just rattle around, that is not fixable, only if it have moved and stay there day or night ( warm or cold ) can you refocus it.
If you notice your dashboard, that is just fine in focus, meaning your lens have moved to a closer focus, to get it back to the good / usable for dashcam, you probably just have to turn the lens 1/2 revolution or probably even less.
But the lens are secured with glue to the socket so it is not something you just do like turning a nut on a bolt.
Focus sliding was almost a for sure thing in the old days, at least with the cheaper brands, but for many years it have not been a problem we see that often, but it will sadly still happen now and then due to the harsh environment of a car interior.
Just one of those things that remind us that no matter how good or expensive system you have gotten, it will be a good idea to take a look at the footage it record now and then.
