BP-100 HK vs HK6 (No Cut-Off Version)

No, for the LFP battery they don't/shouldn't use voltage (V) to calculate the remaining capacity.
I'm sure they calculate remaining capacity by counting ampere-hours (Ah).

Would that be inaccurate because total capacity diminishes with battery age? Or they ignore that effect?

Most modern battery management systems (BMS) have built-in intelligence and constantly perform recalibration.
And since they display the charge level as a percentage, after some degradation they will likely still show a range from 0% to 100%, except that this 0% to 100% range will represent say 80% of the original 100% of energy capacity.
This is just my assumption.

We will release the V2.0 firmware via OTA update with new app soon.

This new feature will be implemented in V2.1 version.
I just connected to the BP100 for the first time using the battery app. It said a firmware update was available and it updated. However, it did not say what version of the firmware it was updated to and I cannot find anywhere in the app where it lists the current firmware. How does one tell what firmware is currently running on the unit?

During the pre-production testing I performed and now with it being a production product, I've been asking for the VIOFO Battery app to show the current firmware version installed in the battery pack. At this point, I'm not holding out any hope of seeing any time soon that very basic / common feature in the VIOFO Battery app.

This is a long shot...a really long shot. If on an iPhone, go to Settings, General, and select iPhone Storage. Find the battery app, open it, and then look at the documents. You might, maybe, see some file information there. Maybe.

Looking on my iPhone 15+ with iOS 26.2 at the location you specified shows read-only value 13.5 MB of "Documents & Data". The only two options available there are "Offload App" and "Delete App".

I am still on iOS 17 on mine, but the VIOFO app is not currently installed. Some apps reveal more than others. I was only tossing him a suggestion that doesn't look like it will work. I wonder why VIOFO did not code the app to display the firmware version?

Right on the very top it says VIOFO Battery and underneath it says 1.1. I believe that is the app release number.

am on Android, cannot see the firmware version directly either.
also my app somehow insists on showing me temperature in ˚F

It would be nice it they gave the option to set ºC or ºF.
My Powercell 8 battery only shows ºC with no option to change it to ºF.

Can I install the BP100 by removing the HK6 module itself and using its existing wiring that goes to the dash-cam, or do I need to use the battery's wiring to the dash-cam?

I want to avoid having to remove panels and reinstalling wiring.

Are you referring to the connectorized converter box on the HK6 when you say "HK6 Module"? You cannot remove it since it converts 12V to 5V for the camera.
My dashboard has end caps (facing the doors) that easily pop off , which is where the converter box is located.

Yes, I forgot that it was a voltage converter as well.
I have to remove an A pillar panel that covers an airbag and route the wiring behind it, as I did for the HK6.

I wanted to avoid dealing with removing A/B Pillar air bag covers so ended up having it professionally installed.
They routed it so the air bag was not affected.

BP100 output can be wired to HK6 input.
Cable for that comes in the box with BP100.

This way you won't need to remove any pillars or HK6 wiring at all.

Does HK6 with no cutoff version display the voltage on the recordings from the dashcam? I just got one and the voltage display is gone.
