Got to know a new action sport camera called GIT1, produced by GitUp Ltd, which is said can beat the SJCAM SJ5000 WIFI action camera. We luckily got one on hand and took some pictures of this unknow brand camera.

At first glance, GIT1 does not look different than any other Gopro like action camera, but a GITUP GIT1 logo and two lights.

Removable Battery of the GIT1.

A 10 pin USB port, support instant AV-out, HDMI out.

Unique design, feel really qualified when touch it.

Still looks really like the Gopro Hero camera, and matches with all the GoPro accessories. But we can clearly see that the water proof case seems to be a little different with the others. Personally, I really like the design of this case, which is all said made of the some material of the Gopro case, and the metal will never get rusted.

Just looking at these features, I think Git1 is a very competitive action camera and has lot important features. As we can see that it also have the FPV function, can be a good device for the aerial video shot. and even can work as car dash camera. We did take some pictures of this camera, which look really good. We will later upload some video here.

Now, what's your opinion about this new unknown brand camera?

1080p up to 30fps is fine, but even 720p only shoots up to 30fps is not good enough. SJ5000 can shoot 720p up to 60fps. The chipset and sensor look promising, but will have to look at the video samples before judging. So far there's nothing much from the spec to make it stand out among all those GoPro clones.

For 60fps version, better to look the GIT2 version, use the latest novatek 96660 chipset.

For 30fps version, the price depends on the hardware and build quality, some cameras sell below $20 and declare support 1080P 30fps.

Those two video clips are quite nice, showing sharp detail.

There was even more detail before Youtube reencoded it, this is a frame from the original video extracted in Registrator Viewer:

The colour isn't even across that image because it was 7:30pm and the sunlight is from the right.

These two images are from the Git1 and Mini 0806, the 0806 has a wider angle and with the Git1 being an action cam it has set the exposure to include the sky. Both are using WDR. Speed 50 mph / 80 kph. No GPS on the Git1 but it does have auto start/stop, loop recording, WDR and screen timeout.

This looks very interesting.

Is there any way I can see the User Manual?

There is a nice quick start guide but it doesn't go into great detail.
Maybe gitup could put it on the gitup.com website for all to read?

I've not seen a full user manual yet, but the menus are all straight forward and do what you expect.

There are a limited number of options in the menu, just one 1080 mode, one 720 mode, no quality selection etc, but I don't want to be able to select poor quality anyway!

Ask if there is anything specific you want to know, I've explored most of it.

Thank you for the link.

I just ordered one, I have a feeling I will be very happy with it.

Thanks for your videos and pictures, Nigel! Love it!!:D
