I use Zeiss Lens Cleaning Wipes. Bought them at Walmart, and use them for my camera, cell phones, etc. Always clean any lens very gently.

You can buy a lens cloth for 50 cents on ebay, free shipping.

I should probably order a bulk supply and include them with all future DVRs. If you buy the optional magnetic CPL it comes with a lens cloth though.

I'd propose to use lens pen. It is compact and can be used for a long period of time.
