I think it is very clear the situation about the cables:
- USB-A to USB-C cable for OP-100 = enter parking mode based on engine running or not (it can enter in parking mode only if you are stuck in the traffic for more than 8 minutes, but this is happening with any cable, any power source)
- original dashcam cable = enter parking mode based on motion of the vehicle
The impact detection it is a very interesting feature for older generation Viofo dashcams. But the wake up time will depend on the original wake up time of the dashcam.
So even the car battery went under 11.8V, the OP100 will power on the camera for two minutes and cut off the power again. I am very sure a car battery will not be damaged if the OP100 will generate power for a two minutes recording.
I expect a car battery voltage lowered by dascham function to 11.8V to recover some 0.1-0.2 volts at least and acquire 12V after some time.
