Cord Extension for G1W -(SOLVED)

Hi, I was installing the cam today but found out that the charging cable supplied was not long enough to reach my car lighter. I need an extension for the cord but I'm not really sure what to look for.

I searched and found this : http://www.l-com.com/usb-premium-usb-cable-mini-b-5-position-male-female-20m , but I'm not sure if is the right cable for this cam.

Also, found this other 15ft cable, but this one is a USB 2.0 A Male to Mini-B 5pin Male 28/24AWG Cable ( https://www.ebay.com/itm/370970209654 ), I own a car charger with a USB outlet, would this cable work with the cam ?

I would appreciate your help.

other option is buy a female lighter socket and wire it in behind the dash and leave your original socket free

There are a few other suggestions too. But I thought eh power cable was more than enough to run the length of the inside of the car. Mine is and I have a seven seater.

I just bought a 5m long USB to mini USB cable from eBay.

Means I can save space on my socket and use a two USB port thing and plug multiple things in.

Thank you for the replays. I ended up buying an outlet extension cord at a local store and that did the trick.
