Cost of shipping

Someone's response to a question I had about returning an action Cam to origin in China- As you probably know there is little mention of warranty with sellers on EBay except in fine print.
But you have to get it back to them!
A member said that shipping was not feasible by the USPS, I would rather need a DHL or other international shipper.
Today I spoke to a clerk at the post office and I can indeed send back to China for $35-$75 dollars!
It's just not an option!
I see sellers from Australia with shipping costs of$35 dollars
If I don't like the item ..Eat it!
 
Buying direct from China is indeed cheaper - IF the product works out of the box and doesn't develop problems. Otherwise...., well you can see what you can run into.

Why I buy 'local' if at all possible.
 
Unfortunately in many cases return shipping cost is higher than item price.
Buying from oversea pay as much as you prepare to lose.
