"Quick clip of a lone Magpie at Shellharbour NSW Australia during swooping season(note the worm in his mouth 1st attack). For most of the year magpies are fascinating and endearing native birds. However, during breeding, a small percentage of them can be aggressive, swooping at passers-by in their territory. Just avoid the known area for a couple months is my best advice."

What an angry bird.

They play cricket in Australia dont they? Or baseball? Batter Up!! 😵
We have some sort of relative of the magpie over here and it does the same. First time I found out about it was when one of the pterodactyls hit me in the head while walking to dump the trash or get my car I forget which. After that I carried a piece of line with a weight on the end and whenever I walked that way I would swing it around my head as a deterrent. Worked as all they did was screech but did not attack.

Brave or stupid to attack somthing witch is at least 20X bigger then you 😀

I've seen a magpie swoop on the massive wedge tailed eagles. Although when a hawk swoops at an eagle from high elevations it is much more spectacular.

Those Magpies are vicious.
They aren't afraid.
I was walking into the office building and there were few of them screaming the hell out of each other right next to my legs.
They are loud.
They didn't even care that I was walking right through the middle of them. 😱
