Dashcam Randomly Powers Down After Starting the Car

A problem that I see with these is that the battery often takes a serious dive in voltage when the starter engages. It can go as low as 8V, which of course will be a lot lower than any PSP or clone will be set at. What is needed is something that will hold up the voltage to the dashcam during these brief drops. A bigish capacitor with a steering diode after the PMP might do the trick.

I've no issue during cranking with Finesafer, Finesafer VU and Vico Power Plus.
There is a 30s delay before shut down after low power detected.

With PMP, after 8 hours of parking and only 10min of driving before parking, I had dashcam shutdown when cranking or when only opening the doors with remote.

That's the answer then. I must look into them. Shame PMP doesn't do the same'

Avoid Vico if you can

Cycling reboot when low voltage level is reached.
