Hi,
Running into an issue with my thinkware q1000 connected to a Powercell 8 where it stays on parking mode even after starting the car.
For some context, i had my dashcam installed by a local shop which did a terrible job - they scratched my car and also took hours to incorrectly install the dashcam. So while i already paid them, i'm just going to take the loss on the cost of the install due to me not trusting that shop at all with my car.
I have a 2020 m340i and the powercell 8 is connected to the front right fuse box. Initially the shop had it installed on an always on fuse which caused the dashcam to constantly be on continuous mode and the car battery charging the powercell 8 even while the car was off.
Parking mode was the biggest use case for me getting a dashcam, so i did some slight research and switched to an ACC fuse (f70, 5amp fuse, please see link below for m340 fuse diagram). However, now the dashcam ONLY stays on parking mode. After a few seconds of turning the dashcam on, it will go straight into parking mode. If i plug the dashcam into the cigarette lighter, it stays on continuous mode. The dashcam and battery are connected via blackboxmycar's thinkware power cable.
Does anyone have any thoughts or feedback on why the dashcam only stays on parking mode instead of switching to continuous after starting the car?
