Hello All,

I am new to this forum and have been doing some research on dash cams and am still unsure of what would be best for my purposes.

I am a driving school instructor and am looking for the following:
1. Record mainly the interior of the vehicle, but exterior and interior would be preferable.
2. Large storage capacity, at least 64gb.
3. Discreet, as it can not block the view of the student.
4. GPS
5. Good interface/software.
6. Parking mode would be nice to protect against thefts from vehicle.
7. Higher quality would be nice

I hope this information helps and I look forward to your responses.

Thanks!

What type of car?
Assuming 4 door compact something?

Why do you need/want GPS?

Thank you for the response. You are correct, a 4 door compact. Ford Focus.

We would like GPS to be able to show where are vehicle(s) have travelled in case of any misconduct accusations.

I usually don't bother with the GPS data that is available on some of my cams.
It may not do what you think it will, or easily.

Probably a decent cam, mounted in the back window area, pointed forward would capture enough of the interior, sides, and front through the windshield to be of some help, without being a distraction.

Thank you! Do you have any good suggestions for a decent cam?

I would take Dashmellow's recommended dashcam (Transcend DrivePro 520) seems like a descent camera and suitable for your needs.

Thank you everyone. I think the Transcend is what I am going to go with. I appreciate all of the responses.
