Hello, does anyone know where I can download an instruction manual for the dvr-207 or 027? I have purchased the 207 but it will not arrive for a week or so. I would like to to get familiar with the features and settings while I'm waiting. :)
Thanks,

You can add me to the list of interested parties.

And now we wait........................................................................

I just purchased the new 207 model, but I was searching for the same thing before I decided to just pull the trigger. However, now that it has arrived, I find it very easy to use. This is my first dash cam too. The instructions include 3 pages in english. Hopefully this helps out!

Thank you :D

Looks pretty straight forward with very little Chinglish descriptive instructions ;)

Cheers :) Mario

The "Engrish" instructions were useress, er, I mean useless. That ridiculous leaflet that accompanies the cam should be tossed.

I agree, I've learned more from reading this site and forum

Great forum here, lots of great info. For those of you who've gotten the DVR-207 (mine's on the way from estore009), is there any knowledge about whether or not you can "flip" the video like some of the earlier recorders? I may chose to mount this sometimes on the dash, which would put the base unit down and the monitor above it (basically upside down from the windshield mount). Once I get the thing I'll post whatever I find out that doesn't amount to double posting! Thanks in advance.

No. Flipping will have to be done by post video processing software. Unless you're making family movies on the hood of your car, this should be not be a deal breaker. This cam was meant to capture those "special" moments, upside down or not.

Another low-tech solution is to mount your wide-screen TV upside down from the ceiling. Just sayin'...

Now why didn't I think of that? LOL I just wanted to use this for some "road trip videos" not just have it there for an accident since that hasn't happened to me for over 40 years. Guess I'll just have to drive a bit crazier so I get my money's worth. Or just go to one of Tucson's casinos around midnight with Border Patrol placards on the side of my white Explorer.

Can someone post the Instructions Manual for the newer DVR-207GS? I want to read more about the G Shock sensor and what the new options are.

I just received the 027 and read thru the manual which isn't too bad but I can't seem to get it to record, or at least play back what I recorded...all I get is sound and a kind of test pattern video...no actual video. I plug it into my computer, go to My Computer, and the download just comes up with the sound and that colored test pattern...any ideas> :?:

Are you plugging the camera directly into your PC or just the SD card?

I have tried both...I get sound, can also see still images but when I try video I get a colorful test pattern type image...do I need a special playback program to see the files?

No you don't. Try VLC (Free for Windows and Mac) and copy the contents to your HD first before playing to eliminate card issues.
