Thanks for your feedback.
I'd already tried everything, adjusting the cutoff voltage and cutoff time, but hybrid mode doesn't work for me.
I just tried again following your recommendations, but it’s the same error.
I wonder if it works for anyone else using the same HK6 cable? I chose this cable because it’s easy to install.
If I’m sure it’s the cable’s fault, I’ll get an HK4 to see if that gives me access to hybrid mode.

In your first post you mentioned that you are using an SSD.
Do you also have a micro-SD card installed in the front unit?

I remember that the A329S requires an SD card to be inserted into the front camera for Hybrid Parking mode to work.

Yes, of course, a microSD card is required, and I do have one.

With EcoFlow River 2 - the hybrid mode settings in the app and the hybrid switching/recording itself are working exactly as intended.

Hello everyone,
I wanted to thank the contributors to this thread.
I bought a Viofo A329S 3-channel + HK6 + SSD and paired it with an EcoFlow River 2.
Thanks to the information and wiring diagrams, almost everything works perfectly.
However, I have a small issue that I don’t understand: I can’t seem to enable hybrid mode.

I’ve tried setting:
the cut-off delay = tested at 2 hours
the cut-off voltage = 12 V
the physical cut-off voltage on the HK6 to 11.8
the cut-off battery capacity = no access
I’ve verified that the microSD card is selected correctly,
but I keep getting an error message: “Please set the vehicle battery protection parameter.”

If you have any ideas on how to enable the hybrid option—for now, it’s working at a low bitrate

I am not sure why you are unable to activate the Hybrid option, but the issue does not lie with the EcoFlow River2 itself—provided the connection is set up as shown above.
The problem could stem from the HK6 cable, the firmware, or the app (assuming you have the latest firmware and the new app installed)—or perhaps something else entirely.

Personally, I do not use the HK-6 cable or the Hybrid mode (I don't like them).

I suggest starting a separate thread about this in the section dedicated to the A329S model.

@GPak my cables on the XT60 are reversed compared to yours, do you think that could make a difference?
Especially the yellow cable coming from the HK6.
The firmware isn't the latest, I'm on version 2.1, but there's no reason it shouldn't work because of that.

I see you are using a custom XT60 cable; this is perfectly acceptable, provided the power is drawn from the vehicle's ACC (ignition) source and the red wire is the positive (+) lead.
I see the yellow wire from the HK6 is connected (via a soldered splice) to the red wire (positive) of the XT60 connector—that is correct.
(For convenience, I used an XT60 splitter instead of soldering or twisting wires to connect the yellow wire from the HK4 to the red positive wire, but the principle is the same.)
What do you mean when you say: "my cables on the XT60 are reversed compared to yours"??
If the polarity of the XT60 wires were reversed, the River 2 wouldn't work and would likely be damaged.

I cannot see where the red and black wires from the HK6 are connected; I assume they are connected to the USB-C / 15V cable with the correct polarity (red being positive).
Using a multi-meter, verify the polarity of all wires is correct and verify the output voltage of the USB-C/15V cable is indeed 15V.

The previous firmware version is OK, although the latest one is the best; however, make sure you are using the new version of the app.

I posted a general photo showing the HK6 coming out from under the back seat, with everything connected in the trunk.

It is indeed a 15V USB cable; I double-checked the voltage and it was correct. However, I connected the red and black wires to the HK6 at random.

The yellow wire is, of course, connected to the positive terminal of the cigarette lighter.

On your XT60 connector plugged into the river, the colors of my cables are reversed compared to yours, but I don’t think that makes any difference. (red and black)

As I mentioned earlier, everything works—it charges when the engine is running. The dashcam works normally, and I have access to parking mode.

The only difference, assuming the wiring is correct, is whether you have an HK4 and the dashcam’s firmware version, or a defect in one of the two.

There is nothing wrong with your wiring - the issue isn't there.
I used the original River2 XT60 charging cable; the red and black wires inside share a common black outer sheath (and the connector polarity matches yours).

- I recommend updating the App and Firmware; this is easily done over-the-air (OTA) and resets everything to default settings.
After that, you can configure everything exactly as you need.
- If that doesn't work, or if for some reason you don't want to update the Firmware, you may try to configure the Hybrid mode directly on the camera itself, without using your phone.

Hope this works.

Theoretically, replacing the HK6 with the HK4 shouldn't make any difference - though I haven't used the HK6 myself, so I can't say for sure.
