I now know mine is not the real one has it charges using the usb connection.it was very cheap £14 off ebay. It works fine even better now i using a 32gb Sanddisk extreme sd card. I would like to know which is the best way of checking if its recording in HD .

I can say to 99% they dont record in HD they only record in 640x480 and scale it to 720p

Yep, I gopt one too. I figured it would be and need a cheap one that I can use for work. It costs me $38. I can tell buy the test footage that its not 720p. It looks like crap. Quick question though, I used a class 6 card and was wondering if that is whats causing the somewhat jumpy playback.

I have put a sandisk 32gb extreme sd card in .Tried it on all the different modes and it still plays a jumpyplay back. I think they just cheap tat. I looking at buying the Smartcam HD2
