Firmware?

I just got my mini 0806 and haven't installed it yet. I had an 0803 in my other car, but sold it with the car. I've been reading here on the forum about firmware updates. Mine has 0806GD20150511 V1.0 from the factory. I see referrals to "Nigel's firmware" and it seems to be the best. Where do I get it, and is there a tutorial on how to install it? I know I did some updates on the 0803 a long time ago, but I've forgotten how I did it.

download, place the file in root folder, place it back into your device. make sure it is plugged into a power source. follow the instructions, once installed, turn the device off, remove the memory card and delete the file.
