For those who have their windshield tented

First time poster. I used to have my entire windshield tented then needed to get the windshield replaced. I'm looking to get it re-tinted again. Far as my research, I am looking at getting the Mini 806 cam. Do any of you notice a quality difference behind tint, to dark etc..?

I have some videos from a rental car, actually a toyota tacoma type pickup, that had a dark tinted strip at the top of the windshield.
The dashcam was catching some of the tint. Not so bad in day time, but of course worse at night.
