G1W keeps locking files.

I have more than one of the g1w dash cam and they all have the same problem - the camera starts recording but at random times it starts locking the files (it displays the key symbol) which means once the card is full it won't record over these files. So I have to keep deleting them every time I use it. This is not supposed to happen unless I choose to lock a file. Does anyone know why or what I can do to fix this stupid problem ?

look for a different firmware if you can, some of them are a bit flaky

Turn g sensor off.

Thank you, fastdrive. I turned the G sensor to medium instead of off and that actually took care of the problem. It was driving me crazy but couldn't figure out why it was happening.

The G-sensor function is the first thing to turn off in many cameras. There are only a few out there where it works as it should.
