g1wh battery lasts 1min

hey everyone,
my two years old g1wh cam battery lasts only for 1min.

any suggestions?

i have many 18650 batteries. any ideas how to utilize them?
or a replacement battery will do?
or a capacitor replacement will be the best? (please assist with capacitor replacement and a suitable firmware)

That minute is enough to save the last clip. Other than that, you only need battery power in the G1W-H if you need to change some setting in the menus without powering it with an external power source. If the camera starts acting funny, that's when you need to start worrying about the battery.

Yes, you can replace it, but it has to be a battery pack of the same type. It can have more capacity and be a little bigger, as long as it fits. Normal batteries, like the 18650, are not suitable for dashcams and they won't fit inside the case, anyway.
There are replacement battery packs for dashcams online but I'm not the best person to point you in the right direction (links, vendors, etc).

i know 18650 won't fit but i though i can put it externally.

Don't know the specs on a 18650 battery. I just used an old cell phone battery when I replaced mine. My battery is external now.
