Git2 official apps

Intel still haven't released an operating system for my PC which they built, they expect me to install a 3rd party operating system! Same goes for my email application, photo editor and all the other software I use on it 😱

Intel are good at making PCs and they used to sell operating systems too, I used Intel's iRMX operating system for many years, but software is not their core business, it's not what they are good at, if I want an operating system then Microsoft do a much better job.

Why are you not happy to use 3rd party applications? Or maybe the question should be, why are there no decent 3rd party applications?

Gitup should just release the interface specification and let someone else write the apps...

someone else is writing the app, and they're paying for it

I'm sure if someone wanted to do an app for them they could talk with them to get the required info, most devs don't want to work for free though so not sure who will be doing that

To work.

With 3rd party apps, Git2 does not work well. Often does not connects, then frequent disconnecting, hangs up often, then the only way to make it work is to pull out battery etc etc etc.

That is why I expect native apps to work best.

Git2 is really good camera, but lack of native apps is big minus.

However, worst then missing apps is the fact that Gitup changes release date every month (since december).

Same thing like users of apps made by Gopro, xiaomi etc. Simple things like when you connect your Git cam with phone to see thumbnails of foto or video inside cam and choose what pic or video you will be transferred to your phone so you can post it on social networks and not to wait for place with pc and then connect with pc, transfer and post it. It is 2016 and this is something usual. I want to see remote pic on my phone when taking photo with git on my selfie stick above my head. Whit every 3rd party app if you want take photo and you have capture mode set to sequence, your cam will be frozen like app and you lost that pic. Than you must reset cam and app. In the end like I say before it's 2016 and now every serious product have app.. I think that git2 is really serious product and deserve mobile app
 
I am totally lost on that sudden urge to be able to post / share somthing right here and now on some social network.

I am sure even when i win 200 millions in lotto i have no such urges, the fjew ppl that will need to know i am leaving Denmark soon will be told so in good time, and get a nice goodbye present from me.

But those ppl can be counted on 1 hand, and i have no social media friends that need that information.

I might take out a 1 page add in the biggest newspaper here saying Goodbye,,,,,,Suckers, but thats allso about it.

I guess thats why some "smart" things just isent so smart to me 🙂

Sure i can undestand ppl wanting to share things, i do that a lot too myself.
But i do not undestand why you have to share that "special" moment right here and now, the only "special" moment where i could see myself wanting to tell ppl about somthing right here and now is if somthing truely spectacular happened.

But just cuz i have just climbed sky mountain in Denmark, and filmed myself on top of that our highets mountain ( a little over 200 M tall ) i see little reason to upload that video to any social site right then and there.

I am sure ppl can wait to see that video when i get home a little later, plus it would only take me seconds to UL that video at home where as on sky mountain i am sure there is only a 3 G connection at best, so my phone will have to UL all the time i walk down the mountain and the fjew Km thru the forrest to where my car is parked.

Now just cuz a pink lambo convertible with 2 pretty girls just blew past you in the car, i see no reason to share that right then and there, truth be told its not really a special thing.

i have had a hard time teaching ppl to not phone me with mundane information, i freaking hate that cuz what can i do about it,,, nothing.
On the other hand if you are my friend and have somthing i can do for you or help you with, please do call me day or night and i will be there for you.

But just cuz you just got a speeding ticket, please dont call me to complain about it, there is nothing i can do or say so please keep your useless information to yourself.

sharing is cool, but i do think 90% of what ppl share on facetwitt and instagram is just BS, like i just told my nice, dear girl you have 50 pictures of your self on instagram and 42 of those are the same headshot with the same makeup and then you can see a little of the top of the different clothe you are wearing.

I am like ?????? WTF 42 pictures of the same, are the ppl following you insane or what.
 
first thank you for your answer! you are not old at all, but when we talk about social networks , new devices and things that you could do with them you have some another opinion and that is your right ! if you search for instance on instagram with tags #gopro or #xiaomi and afc #gitup #git2 or #git1 you will see whole new world of people using this products on that one social network ! not to mention twitter and fb. Anyway you will see bunch of people using devices on another way that you don't use it in your life. And that is ok again 🙂 Every company is interested if the company is serious to satisfy as much people (buyers) as they can. Mobile app is, I repeat standard in 2016 and not some SF thing. At the end they promise app, they even put note in my package explaining about there will be delay, that info was written on their web site. And it's very sad that we now, half year after that must here write about that.
 
Im okay with what ppl do, it dont hurt me in any way so ppl can do what they like, and i dont have to undestand it or agree wit it.
That beeing said, Gitup really should bring out that app, its after a while now since ther products came to the marked.

The only really social site i am on is youtube, and truth be told what i put up there is pretty mondane too, thats proberly allso why only 10 ppl or so follow me.

Myself i dont follow anybody anywhere, i am not "friends" with any one and i dont suscribe to anything or any one, actually in here is the only place where i use the stupid like button.
There are some ppl on youtube that i do like and follow, but then i just add ther channel as a bookmark in my browser.

I do hate just cuz i watched a video on youtube about how to grow plants in a pot, then youtybe pop up with all kind of growing plants and what not i might like to watch too.
I have no problem finding what i like to watch, and if i cant find what i like to watch so be it and i will miss out on that, but youtube should stay out of my way.
Some times they make me so angry i am like 2 cliks avay from closing my account.
 
June 1st and again another delay from Gitup...
 
All over the internet people are complaining of how Gitup haven't released the app (and may not). It must be costing Gitup a lot of money in future sales.
 
Would it? Most apps are buggy.

How long has it been going on now? People have probably bought and sold/broke/lost Git2s without ever having an app.

if they currently don't work any better than the 3rd party apps then really what's the difference, if they're waiting on SDK updates to improve things for the app then there's not a lot they can do unfortunately, if you think they're sitting around and not working on it then you're mistaken, they are constantly working on product development

the app is likely to support other models as well, they won't be holding the app back because of a new model camera if that was your thinking, I know the development team and they want to get it out just as much as everyone wants it, it's an ongoing current project
 
I believe the same "the app will be released in a few weeks" note that people got last year in their Git2 box is still being put in boxes.

At this stage would anyone really be surprised if they never released the Git2 app?

ok, then from present day i suppose max waiting time for app is 3 months 🙂 btw ios 10 is coming hope that everything will be compatible 😉
