Has to wireless unfortunately, now way to run a cable between me and the camera. I'll to find some information about how to control cameras through wifi.

You can still use the PCM Servo input. It was designed for use on radio controlled aeroplanes, a basic aircraft remote control system will give much better range than wifi, a more complex one can send the video back, with recording status overlaid.

Wifi is probably better if it gives sufficient range, but the range is not very far on the Git2.
