Just a simple thing I did for the mounting.
The bracket of the G1W is so large it caused difficulties finding a reasonable location on the screen. I also found that because of the shallow screen angle it wouldn't angle down far enough.
So I took a hacksaw to it to make it slightly smaller. I took the suction cup off to avois any plastic swarf clogging anything by simply pusshing the pin out of the lever assembly.
simply cut off the ball & used araldite to glue it back on in a different position
Now I can mount it where I wanted to
As an example, here is a Livue mounted in the same car to show how much effect the mounting bracket sizes have on an insatllation.
