Okay, got the ground pin moved to the ground point.

I put it behind all those wires, so between the wires and the frame. Hopefully that is fine.

I'll test the range on Tuesday when I'm back in the office to test it under nearly the same conditions as from before. The block is still tucked behind that panel so I don't accidentally kick it for now.

Question. Will the same hardwire power supply/kit that works with the SG9665GC v1 also work with the SG9663DCPRO 2020?

What about powering the SG9663DCPRO 2020 off a USB charger that a lot of modern cars have today?

That's a hit or miss proposition. Many of those ports have very low output (.5A) which isn't adequate for a dash cam, while others have more than enough (one of mine has 3.2A output). Even if the output is adequate some are not very stable and can cause erratic camera performance. All you can do is try and see if it works for you but be ready to implement 'plan b' if necessary.
