Hello, everyone.

I got some cars, and I got some dashcams. Saved my but twice, now.

Looking to be smarter about what I buy, so found this forum and already learned lots.

I drive rideshare in Las Vegas, so I really put the cams to the test, practically speaking.

You’re an ideal candidate to become a tester, (Las Vegas professional driver).
The number one most difficult thing for dash cam manufacturers is night time HDR performance.
If I were you I would start a YouTube channel, and upload all your driving footage.
If you don’t want it public, you can upload as unlisted.

I saw your post about how much footage can be stored on an SD Card.
If storing a large amount of footage is important to you VIOFO may have (3) different solutions.
1.) Multiplex
2.) 4TB SSD
3.) 1TB SD Card (external mount)
Multiplex automatically combines 3 camera channels into a single video file to save space.
Here’s what it looks like with two waterproof rear cameras.
You can also use one rear, and one interior camera as well.

Some users report no problems with 4TB SSD, and some users report nothing but problems.
Maximum capacity SD Card for VIOFO cameras is 512GB.
However, you can use a 1TB SD Card with an external SD Card reader like this;
VIOFO A329S - Walkaround Install Demo - Remote SD Card

Well, as it happens, I'm one of the odd ducks who drives days, though that does mean I'm testing how tough the camera is because it is in the sun all day long.

I was initially looking at getting the Viofo because I was heavily focused on image quality, but after looking at it further, I like the features of the Vantrue, especially the LTE option and the rear cabin camera for the 360-ish coverage while still providing a huge image quality improvement over my current camera.

I need the front cabin view to capture what riders do while in the ride, and my vehicle will have far less visible of the riders from the rear as pretty much the only thing visible will be the back their heads. The outside view from the rear cabin camera is what interests me.
