I've just had my Nextbase 412GW returned from nextbase with a new battery fitted and update,
They said I had the wrong card fitted, and said I have to use one off there U1 microSD card, max 128gb,
Who else does there's cards that won't cost £65 and work in the dash cam?

It's the on sell thing. It reminds me of Maccas - do you want fries with that!

What card are you using and what problems did you have?

Some micro SD cards can be finicky in some dash cams and work perfectly fine in others.

You'll find that SanDisk and Samsung are popular on this site.

When you purchase any micro sd card always make sure it is from a reputable source as there are lots of counterfeit ones that look identical to the real brand.

I don't have your Dashcam so can't give you what does work for sure.
Some I have used
SanDisk Extreme® microSD™ Card 128GB
Samsung EVO Plus 128GB MicroSDXC 128GB

Others who have your Dashcam may share what they use.

I had a 412 and the card had to be FAT32 on insertion. If not FAT32 the 412 did not recognise it. That's why the manual said 32G max because 32Gb an be formatted on a PC without specialist software.

I used a Samsung Evo 128Gb, write speed about 90Mbps and it never failed.

The series 2 dashcams seem very picky about the card, that should be formatted every 2 weeks, but I don't recall any problem posts about the series 1 dashcams.

I don't remember ever formatting my card, I just cut/ pasted the files from cam to PC every week.

It was only a 32gb SanDisk card, as I think that was the max size I could put in prior to them updating the dashcam when they replaced the battery,
I always buy SD cards from reputable companies do I know I'm not buying a potato on ebay or amazon.

If I remember, it was formatted to FAT32, I think the card just came yo its end off life, but since the update, I would like to get the 128 card.
