What parking mode are you using?
If you use auto event detection, you can set the sensitivity to low to avoid locking many videos. About the brightness of videos, you can change the exposure setting on the camera to make it brighter if you want.

There is no button to change the brightness. The only way to adjust it is to change the settings in Exposure Value according to your needs.

Change the exposure settings gradually for the best possible video quality without over-exposing the output.

You'll have to drive around using the 'live view' and then change the 'exposure settings' to find the best settings for the exposure (read brightness).
