Is there a battery inside?

I was just wondering what is keeping the clock going when the cam isn't plugged in.

Does the capacitor retain a small charge for this purpose or is there a battery, rechargeable or otherwise inside?

there's an RTC button cell for that, the capacitors are only for file save and shutdown
