Hello all,

When I turn on app it asks if I want to.updatw firnwear and I click YES but then I yet that message attached. How to I fix it so it will work.

Of if anyone can please tell me how I update firmwear on my computer?

Do I simply remove dash cam, connect dssh cam via a USB into my computer, and goto a certain page on viofo, and download the new firmwear onto my dash cam directly though the USB?
I re-reqd old thread and think thats what we did before.

If anyone can simply explain please in the most simple way please. Also if anyone cam advise the correct firmwear as the last time I updated it with wrong firmwear and had to then uninstall it and then install the correct firmware...that error added an extra 1 hour so want to avoid that again.

Also I have a rear camera so need to emsure it updates that too..

Thanks all

Also before I update the firmware, can others please confirm exactly which firmware files I should install for both my front/main camera and rear camera?

My box says A329S 2CH. Previously, VIOFO support checked my firmware and told me that my camera was A329WW and instructed me to use A329WW firmware.

However, the VIOFO app is now detecting a new firmware update as A329S_V2.2_260815 (89.34MB).

My currently installed firmware shown in the app is V2.1_260702.

Please confirm:
  1. Is my main/front camera currently configured as A329S or A329WW?
  2. Should I install FWA329S.bin V2.2_260815 or FWA329WW.bin V2.2_260815?
  3. Do I need a separate firmware file for my rear camera? If yes, please give me the exact filename/version.
  4. Do I need any LD98530A/B conversion file, or should I NOT use one?
  5. Is it safe for me to accept the A329S V2.2_260815 update currently being offered by the VIOFO app, despite previously being told my camera was A329WW?

I don't want to install anything until others can confirm the correct files for my exact camera configuration.
And also how exactly I do this via the computer and the exact link to the correct firmwear.

I just tried doing a FW update with the APP a few hours ago and got the same message. I tried downloading the FW file off VIOFO's website and no FW files are coming up. Maybe there FW file server is down?

Thanks all and thanks Chuck and I look forward to your answers to my post 1 and 2 and hope its a fast fix this time. What do you think issue is.

In relation to the time gap issue, thanks for asking, I believe the gaps may have been occurring when the camera was transitioning out of parking mode and back into normal driving recording, with the camera taking several seconds to fully wake up and start recording. To try to resolve this, I changed the parking mode from Auto Event Detection to Low Power Impact Detection today, and I also changed the parking-mode duration/cut-off setting to 2 hours, so the camera should transition more reliably back to normal recording. I will check in next day ir so to see if that has resolved that issue.

I think the issue was that say I was getting something from the boot and closed boot and that set off the parking recording, I got in car, we then didn't drive off for a couple a couple of mins or whatever and then then recoding started. So when we looked back between the 2 clips there was a time gap due to:

a) the end of the parking recording that was set off due to me closing boot and the beginning of the new normal recording clip
b) a futher gap from when the dash cam took a few seconds to transition back to normal recording from parking mode from the point of the car ignition being turned on and the first 2 seconds of driving.
