Issues with WD Purple SC QD101 Ultra Endurance microSD

I purchased this 256GB card, installed it in my car and dashcam reboots every 30 minutes, i put back SanDisk Ultra Android 128 GB its working with no problems. I have updated firmware also.

I tried a test by powering up dashcam with WD Purple 256GB card for 5 days at home running 24/7 and get no reboots, again take it back to car and start having this issue, installed SanDisk and no problems

Could be the camera supports only up to 128GB. Don't they like to sell you their own branded cards?

Probably doesn't like the card then. You could try another brand/model.

If you didn't, try giving it another shot after formatting the card in the camera.

I have the old model purple, but the newer QD101 cards are slower cards VS that one, so for now i have chosen not to add one of those to my test suite even if i do like the old purple card i have.

The old card U3 / V 30

The new QD101 version U1 / C10

I think as sandisk and WD have merged ( think i read WD buying sandisk ). the faster cards are left to the likes of the sandisk high endurance, which is also U3 / V30
