Fortunately this is in a 20mph zone so I was going slowly....

My worst nightmare.
Or rather one of them
I "saw" a kid about 10 years or so get run down when i was a kid, i spun around when i heard the impact and by then Morten as he was named was 5 M or so in the air.
The car was probably doing 50 km/h, and Morten was severe brain damaged and was in hospital for well over a year.

Was worse to experience ,even compared to a few years later when Flemming fell hands / face first into a bonfire at the playground wearing as so many did back then a Nylon jacket, Flemming got 3 degree burns on both his arms, and a little in his face too.
Flemming did scream god awful, Morten dident say a peep, only thud when he hit the ground again, and it was loud enough for me to hear 50 M from there.
My mom sent me home and then she ran to see what she could do for Morten, Flemming we pulled out of the bonfire and then followed him the 100 M home to his parents.

Yeah, it's one thing you never want to witness, a kid being flung in the air like a rag doll....
