Manually protecting recordings in LS300W

you could as well just flick the cam with your finger to protect the file :)
What I was thinking too. I inadvertently set the file protect a couple of times just handling the camera. Seems pretty sensitive.

You can adjust the sensitivity.
My question is how do you tell which ones are locked/saved? My other dashcam makes a seperate folder but on the LS300w i cant tell which ones are locked

They should be set to read only on the mem card, in terms of the filesystem attribute. So you can tell in windows if you view "Attributes" column. Also in DoD player it will show a little lock next to it and you can even sort for Locked only files (anyway, this is how it is for 430W but should be similar or same)

That's correct, same is true when viewing the files on a Mac. The protected file(s) will be Read only. That's how it works on my GT300W using firmware LS300W 130717OEN10E03.
